Chia Wen used to play for Victoria Junior College during her Junior College years and she has indeed played a big role in the team then. Her ex-captain, Stella Tan, has this to say about her, ‘Chia Wen bounced back after her injuries and always placed her team before her, which I feel is very commendable. I guess there were times when she felt pain in her knee during training or games but she didn’t say it out because she didn’t want it to affect us. She’s indeed the best team player any team can ever have.’
Her injury put her out for the whole of last season, but she is making great recovery now and is on her way back to full recovery. Nevertheless, she demonstrated great team spirit by trying her best to come down for the league matches even though she could not play.
Coach: ‘Chia Wen played an important role during her time in VJC Floorball Team and I am hoping that she will do the same at Agape. She’s an excellent player to have on the team and it is my good fortune to be able to coach her. It is my desire that she recover fully and join us for training. I would like to see what she is capable of when she’s fit and ready to go.’
